Jesus knows who He is. Before He was conceived, the Angel said He should be given the name “God saves.” The Wise Men called Him King. The Holy Spirit through Simeon proclaimed Him Messiah, a light to the nations. John the Baptist proclaimed Him the Lamb. The Father spoke through the Heavens proclaiming Him Son of God at His baptism and at His Transfiguration. Jesus’ identity is the Savior of all, the Love of the Father to us. Jesus knows what He is for. His Mother, newly pregnant, said He was the One by whom the arrogant would be cast down, the One through whom God would fulfill His promises. Simeon said He would be a sign of contradiction for the salvation of many. Jesus told His parents in the Temple He had to do His Father’s work. He said He would be killed and rise on the third day. The hour has arrived. Jesus goes to fulfill what He was made on Earth to do. And I praise Him. All of Heaven praises. I pray today too that the Lord reveals to us who we are, what we are for. Each of us was made for a reason. I pray we will abandon ourselves to the Father’s will, enduring through our mission for His glory. Jesus gave us such an example. I pray He blesses us to follow it.
